THINGS YOU WILL ONLY ENCOUNTER WHILE TRAVELING WITH GREG PFLUG

Monday, March 10, 2008

Well, I'm home after 21 days in the field. Not my record for working without a break, however, it feels like it. The boys, the grass in the yard, and the stack of unpaid bills on my desk look taller.    Spent Sunday doing what I enjoy most, waking up in bed with Melissa, making coffee for two, reading the paper, going to church, then hanging out at home until Sunday night dinner with all my neighbors. I wish everyone could feel as good as I do on any given Sunday.
One of the highlights of my first week out was igniting the brush pile out at Big Oaks Ranch. The owner stacks all her downed limbs for a year then allows (trusts) me to dispose of it during a trip. She knows my weakness. Chuck shot the photo. I'm holding an empty garden hose and a full beer. I wish everyone could feel as good as I do in front of an inferno with a full beer.

I'm glad you're finally getting some "home" time with the family! Tell folks to double click the inferno picture to see the glee on your face better! And to think your brother puts fires out!
