Last year a family of Eastern Screech Owls took up residence in a dead queen palm next door. This little fellow stayed around and sings his tremalow call almost every night. He is only 5-6 inches tall and primarily eats grass hoppers, mole cricketts, and other night wandering insects. Bill took this photo last night on his blackberry.
