Last night was one of those once in a lifetime events. Lead a paddling group out to experience the bioluminescence at Merritt Island NWR. It was pretty bright and the schools of mullet were huge and explosive. It was like getting attacked by a thousand roman candles. To top it off a huge lightning storm was showing off to the west, and the clear skies over us let us witness a pretty intense meteor shower. We finished by watching the huge buttery 3/4 moon rise over the ocean. Melissa and the kids fell asleep before we hit our first traffic light on the way home.
