Tonight my great friends(Chuck & Ellen) from Chicagoland are paying us a visit. Their part of the smart crowd that leaves the frozen north and migrates south every winter. Whats funny is Chuck went on my Suwannee trip years ago and told me that the trip was going to be his last to Florida, you know the whole "been there done that". Forward several years to the present an Chuck has peddled, paddled, hiked, and swam more of Florida than most Florida guidebook authors. In those years he has also picked up an Arkansas Cutie who is now his fiance.
Today is the day before a week long trip starts so that means I'm cooking, shopping, picking folks up at the airport, loading kayaks, and trying to remember everything I always forget to bring. I won't relax until Sunday night when I'm cooking the group dinner over a fire.
