Got home safely around noon today. I had a great time paddling with Marty, Virginia, Spencer, and Laura. I can't recommend the Exuma's enough, the cays have everything that makes sea kayaking great. I have know idea why people spend so much money and time kayaking in the far north. It just doesn't compare to clear warm water, very few bugs, white sand beaches, diving and fishing for food, coral reefs, palm trees, and no other people.
The last night in the backcountry we caught and ate conch fritters, conch and lobster ceviche, sauted lobster, cheese grits, and deep fried snapper. From the sea to the pot to the belly in under 15 minutes. Heaven is on earth.
