About a month ago I shared an idea about creating a kayak and canoe festival  in Florida to my good friend Bob Nichols. He liked the idea and set up an appointment with someone involved with the department of tourism. We shared the idea to her, she loved it. She set up a meeting with the city of Inverness to have them host the event. Needless to say the city of Inverness really loved the idea. So the green light has been given for the creation of a three day kayak & canoe festival for March of 2010. I believe we could draw in over ten thousand paddlers.

    SO for the next year I will be trying to sign up every manufacturer, livery, outfitter, guide, sales rep, and food provider. I should have the press packs finished by February so if you know anyone that would love to have a booth in the paddling capitol of the world, please contact me.
