Cumberland Island, Georgia

Well it has been a great day. I finalized and booked two weeks of private trips for next year and my sister in law Kim called and said that her and the family will be coming on the Suwannee with Kids canoe trip this fall. This is the first trip my brother has ever made it on. I'm very excited.

Econlockhatchee River, Florida

Thursday Gator, Marty, Quock, and Johnny are going to attempt paddling the extremely flooded Econlockhatchee River from 419 to the St. Johns River. Last time we paddled at flood stage the alligators and snakes were bothersome. I worry more about floating balls of fire ants. The ball that hit Patrick a few years back was as big a a cantaloupe and it tore him a new one.

When a floating ball of fire ants lands on something it covers it seeking higher ground. If that something is a person imagine your entire body covered with stinging fire ants.

Crap, I didn't know about the fire ants!

Didn't Kenny get fire ants all over his feet on one of the Suwannee trips. I think he slept with his feet in a bed of them or something.

We are excited to go, well, all of us except Tater! He is not to crazy about canoes, but I guess he doesn't have a choice now does he?
