THINGS YOU WILL ONLY ENCOUNTER WHILE TRAVELING WITH GREG PFLUG

So I spent the last week paddling from the Aucila River down to the Gulf, made a sharp left and paddled over a hundred miles to the little town of Suwannee. Looking back I should have kept paddling to Cedar Key or Yankee Town or Homossassa or Weki Watchee. Its such a fantastic stretch of coast. With the exception of Horeshoe Beach being discovered, there is only a few houses and a whole lot of nothing.

The highlight of the trip for me was hearing and seeing the migratory loons side by side with dolphins. Its strange because I associate loons with the mountain lakes of the north east and dolphins with the sub-tropical south. The whole scene just made me smile, a lot.

Seeing it was hunting season for deer I decided to clip one on the shuttle back to Suwannee and my guests. They seemed a bit surprised to have to load their luggage around my dead deer in the back of the van (bloody photos to come).
