Made it safely back to Seward after four days of wind and rain paddling in Kenai Fjords National Park. Couldn't get many photos of calving glaciers or snow-capped peaks because of the rain and being afraid to let go of my paddle in the 34 degree seas. I did enjoy the rebounding waves off the sheer walls that made up the shoreline. Had a pod of Orcas near the kayaks and followed a bear up a salmon river.
Even with all the excitment its good to be in a town, out of the rain and cold, showered, and not having to dig a hole while looking for grizzlys in the freezing rain everytime the call of nature needs to be answered. Sometimes, like today, flushing beats digging!

No shit!
And your Alaskan adventures will be ones you'll never forget, even without all the photos you wanted, and adventures you will someday want to repeat and share with family.
