The 26th amendment, granting the right to vote for 18 year-olds, took only9 months and 8 days to be ratified!  Why?  Simple!  The people demanded it.That was in 1971, before computers, before e-mail, before cell phones, etc.

Of the 27 amendments to the Constitution, seven (7) took 1 year or less to
become the law of the land, all because of public pressure.

Lake Yellowstone

Guiding on Lake Yellowstone

Spending the last few days at Scott and Steph's in Lake Mary. I'm really enjoying swimming all day with the boys and grilling out with Scott every night. For a guide who travels 35 weeks out of every year, I'm sure finding comfort in being local.

Jake taking a lunch break

Its been a busy tour season this year. Days off have been few and very far between. Things will come to an abrupt halt in June. I'm hoping to take the boys up to the Smokies for some paddling, Kentucky for visiting family, and the Roanoke river platforms for some exploring. I also hope to have some time to start construction on a cabin on the Suwannee property.

Had a wonderful time floating the Green River through Canyon Lands with some serious great friends. The weather was ideal, the scenery perfect, and the company outstanding. In all honesty it was one of the most perfect trips in a long while. I laughed so much so often that I have sun tanned laugh wrinkles.

Get a cat to swim in Lake Superior.

Greetings From the North Country

So today I'm trying to get un-relaxed and get busy making lists, cleaning gear, organizing boats, and of course staying in contact with the people I love (yes you).
Cooked 4 Pork Tenderloins on the grill last night for Kim, she misses southern fare.
